Alternative Outdoor Activities for Kids Who Love Shooting Games
Shooting games have always been my passion. I remember playing playing shooting games from the time that the original NES title Contra was released. If your child is a fan of shooting games like Halo or Modern Warfare, try one of these outdoor activities as an alternative.
Paintball - For shooting game fans, this is a fast-paced activity that puts you right into the action. Paintball is a great way to build teamwork skills with your friends and physical endurance.
Hunting - Check with your local Department of Wildlife for the requirements and guidelines to see if this might be something that your child would be able to do. Hunting is great for many reasons. It allows kids to learn about firearm safety and the local wildlife and habitats. It also opens a great way to bond with the accompanying parent or adult.
Alternative Outdoor Activities for Kids Who Love Racing Games
Racing games are apart of one of the most fun and exciting video game genres. There are a lot of great outdoor activities that can serve as an alternative to racing games.
Race Go-Karts - If your child likes racing games, there is nothing better than being able to actually get behind that wheel and put the pedal to the metal.
Visit a Car Show - Car shows can be a great way to slow down a bit while still enjoying the rides you love. Whether your child is into old fashioned hot rods or souped-up tuners, you are sure to find a car show that will peak their interest.
Alternative Outdoor Activities for Kids Who Love Strategy Games
Is your child into strategy games? Whether it is a military strategy or puzzle type game, these alternative activities are sure to keep their brain firing while taking in some fresh air.
Play a Board Game in the Park - Find a picnic table in a nearby park and play a strategy game like Risk or Stratego with your child. .
Chalk Suduko - Get a suduko puzzle book and copy the full puzzle onto a sidewalk or driveway with a piece of chalk. Work together with your child to solve the entire puzzle. A great alternative to this would be to create two puzzles. Invite some of your child's' friends over, split them into two teams and see which team can complete their puzzle first.
