Alternatives for a Ring Bearer Pillow for Your Wedding

Be Creative and Have Fun with the Ideas

Angel Vee
Are you having a ring bearer for your wedding? Are you looking for something else to use besides a ring bearer pillow at your wedding? I just found out one of my neighbors is getting married and she told me that she wasn't using a ring bearer pillow for her nephew. So I asked her what she was going to use as an alternative. Not knowing all of the neighbors here she decided her and her future husband were going to make up fliers and place them on people's cars and mailboxes here with a survey poll. When I received this in my mailbox I thought this was really a clever idea on how to get ideas for your wedding. It actually asked if all the people would write down an alternative to a ring bearer pillow. All suggestions would be considered.

I sat here and pondered for awhile trying to come up with something unique for her. The only ideas I came up with were a jewelry box, small treasure chest, a small bible, a teddy bear, and a flower cat/dog wearing a collar to hold the wedding rings. Two days later she came over and told me that she had over 50 responses to this poll and can't decide which alternative to go with. I asked her for the list of what other people had to say. Here are some of the alternatives to a ring bearer pillow that I thought was cute.

Decorated medicine or Altoids box

Small birds nest from the craft store decorated with ribbon and flowers

Silver tray scattered with rose petals

Ring bearer sea shell

Ring bearer horseshoe

Open rose to hold wedding rings

Wedding banner with ribbons and strings to hold the rings

A balloon with a string to hold rings

Baseball glove

Basket with rocks

Mini glass slipper with rings in it

Ring Orbs

Small toy boat

Have a child ring a bell

Ring pouch

A bucket

And the last idea was pretty humorous. Have an older guy that is like 6ft to be your ring bearer. The wedding guests will surly get a kick out of this if they have a sense of humor to them. Her wedding is in November so she still has time to pick which one to use. Be creative with your choice for ring bearer. If you need ideas for being a ring bearer take a poll and see what other people can come up with. Then narrow it down to your top 3 choices. Decide from there.

The balloon idea actually makes me cringe, especially thinking of what if the child accidentally lets go of the balloon and there goes thousands of dollars up into the sky :( man I'm going to have nightmares about this lol Even if someone THINKS it is weighed down enough, I'm sorry but it's just too risky for my comfort level

I was a ring bearer a long time ago. I walked with the traditional pillow, yet I like these ideas very much, too. Thanks, Pattie!
