Always Infinity Feminine Pads - Advances in Women's Protection like No Other

J.Swindell
For nearly 30 years, I have seen many changes in women's protection needs. Starting with pads that required safety pins as the adhesive strip was new to schools and other public agency vending machines. Wings came along in the 1980s to mixed reviews as most of my friends were not in the habit of getting a bikini wax or were a little too active for wings to be of any real benefit. Non-applicator tampons required some practice but worth the trouble for the woman on the go. Then came my personal favorite, the mini (or thin) pad that was only as thick as two credit cards but could hold fluid almost as well as a bulky overnight deal.

Since the 1990s, I have been loyal to Procter and Gamble's Always brand. Like most women, this came from trying the common names as well as the grocery store brands that were bold enough to imply that their version was just as superior as the feminine products advertised on television. I'll put it like this. Two things that should not be bought in generic or store brands are liquor and more important, feminine products. I would rather spend an extra dollar to be spared from weak adhesive strips, hard cardboard applicators and worst of all, minimal absorption ability. I'm telling you, the stress of worrying about good feminine protection is not worth the so-called savings. Give me that patented LeakGuard core that has been Always trademark for over twenty-five years!

In 2008, coupon clippers and women's magazine readers alike were introduced to the Always Infinity pad that come in regular, heavy and overnight flow sizes. It claimed to be the new revolution in feminine protection and not only would the makers send you a free pad but you could receive a coupon for a dollar off the retail price. As I approach middle age, my thought was that the timing could not be better. So one random trip to the drug store left my wallet about $7 lighter but without going into graphic details it was so worth the expense as that squishy feeling that comes at about the second day was pretty much non-existent!

It has been more than a year since the Infinity was introduced and when they go on sale at my favorite stores, it seems retailers can't keep them on the shelves. If you go to their website, they still offer the free sample and you can periodically find coupons in your local Sunday paper.
