Alzheimer's Association - California Southland Chapter
The Alzheimer's Organization is probably the best and first resource you should contact when you think a loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's disease or recently diagnosed. First stop, the Alzheimer's Association website. There is a wealth of knowledge available from understanding the disease and symptoms, to living with a loved one suffering from the debilitating affects of this horrific disease, to seeking profession help. Support groups are a wonderful way to discuss what is happening with others going through similar situations. Find a support group that is headed up by a member of the Alzheimer's Association to get the most relevant and factual information available. Many of these support groups meet in community centers, churches and other local meeting places.

Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk - Orange County
Want to help raise much needed funds to find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease? Every year, the Alzheimer's Association puts on the Memory Walk, a 5K national walk that raises money for Alzheimer's research. The Memory Walk has raised over $300 million since its' inception in 1989. This year Orange County will host several locations for the Memory Walk: the Memory Walk taking place at California State University Fullerton will be held on October 23rd; and the Huntington Beach Memory Walk takes place on November 6.
