Amanbagh: The Eco-friendly Resort
Rajasthan beckons tourists with its colorful and vibrant history and folklores, grand architecture, gorgeous sand dunes and rich culture.Amanbagh or the "garden of peace" is located in a small city of Rajasthan called Ajabgarh. The resort is an epitome of grandeur and opulence with pink sandstone and marble exterior, affluent interiors and unique details. Once the site of a king's hunting lodge, today the resort is the winner of Gallivanter's Guide award for excellence from 2008 through 2010. Harpers Bazaar acclaimed Amanbagh as the Winner of the Best Hotel Award for Adventure in 2008.
An eco-friendly destination away from the humdrum of the city, Amanbagh maintains the alliance with nature with exotic gardens, towering palm and eucalyptus trees, maintained by the water of a nearby lake. Grass brooms are used to clean the rooms, recycled tea and rice sacks for trash bins and leftover food is donated to the local pig shelter. Guests to the resort enjoy meals cooked with organic vegetables, fruits and herbs grown on the property. In addition, the villa uses a part of the land to raise free-range chickens also served to guests.
