Amanda Knox, Convicted American Murderess, Gets Acting Gig in Italian Jail: Who's Surprised?

So the Convicted American Murderess Can Act, Eh? Why Are Italian Police Not Surprised?

Radell Smith
Amanda Knox is an actress. And Amanda Knox is going to act for the Italians in her prison during--wait for it--Christmas. Isn't that a strange holiday to give a killer the floor in an acting venue? Amanda's Italian jail thinks not, as they have given the Meredith Kercher killer the lead role. And who would have thought she could act?

Amanda Knox "acting" like a victim

I guess no one should be surprised that Amanda Knox can act. The Italian police have thought she was acting all along during their investigation of her. The Italian judicial system thought she could act to, but they didn't totally buy her performance, sentencing the convicted murderess from America to a long stretch in prison (26 years), and even longer than her boyfriend accomplice, Raffaele Sollecito and their additional murdering pal, Rudy Guede.

Knox gets the "lead": Isn't this a repeat performance?

Amanda Knox was the lead, according to the Perugia Police Department, the night Amanda Knox, Raffaele Sollectio and Rudy Guede did the unthinkable: snuffed out the life of Meredith Kercher, Knox's roommate in Italy and a British exchange student studying abroad.

Now Amanda is proving she does have what it takes to get what she wants and be the lead again. Amanda will be singing Soprano at the Christmas performance for her captors and fellow cell mates in her Italian prison. And Amanda is tickled pink to be doing it, having told Raffaele, "music is what saves me, that's what helps get me through prison." Music didn't save Meredith Kercher, though.

Meredith Kercher: No Christmas for the slain

Amanda gets to be the lead again in her Amanda world and Meredith Kercher will have no Christmas at all, thanks to the woman who will attempt to woo her prison pals this year.

It used to be that bad girls got coal in their stockings, not trotted out to perform Christmas songs as if they are as innocent as a dove and as harmless as well. But this Christmas, Italy will celebrate a songstress, or was that a temptress named "Foxy Knoxy."

The Italian prison's Christmas program director will inevitably be making a mockery of the season and the slain in one fell swoop. Kercher's family cannot be happy to hear that as their loved one's neck was slashed--and she is unable to even speak words of good cheer at Christmas this year--Amanda Knox will be allowed to sing her little murdering heart out. But don't expect her to sing like a canary: Amanda Knox will never sing that tune.

No Justice for the dead, no peace for the family

Where's the justice for the dead? Where's the voice of the victim? Where's the role for the surviving family? No where in this upcoming Christmas performance by the best actress in America: convicted murderess Amanda Knox.

Meredith Kercher and her family are left on the sidelines as the American temptress sachets on stage to sing about...Christmas. Knox is probably the last thing most Italians want to find in their home under the Christmas tree, and you can bet Amanda Knox isn't considered any kind of present at the home of Meredith Kercher's bereaving family this upcoming holiday season. So why is the prison giving Amanda the "lead?" You mean you don't know? Amanda Knox takes the lead wherever she goes, of course. You either give it to her or she will take it from you. Just ask Meredith.
