Amanda Knox & Raffaele Sollecito- Guilty Because of No DNA Evidence at Crime Scene

Giuliano Mignini's Nursery Rhyme: Oh Where, Oh Where Has Their DNA Gone?

Rik Merchant
Convicted mis-handler of the Monster of Florence serial killer case and fanciful Chief Prosecutor for the Meredith Kercher murder, Giuliano Mignini, has yet to find DNA evidence against two of his three convicts for the murder. His investigators have found none for Amanda Knox and just one isolated contaminated piece of DNA evidence on Rafaelle Sollecito. Contrary to erroneous reports, the murder knife has not been found. So, how could Amanda and Rafaelle have been convicted? The shocking reason along with Giuliano's nursery rhyme conclude this article.

Meredith Kercher, 21, was sexually assaulted and murdered on the evening of November 1 2007 at a deserted cottage usually occupied by her seven housemates- three other young women upstairs and four guys downstairs. Her near-naked body- with stab wounds to the throat- was found the next day after a housemate's friend kicked down her bedroom door as requested by the Postal Police who had arrived to investigate a couple of abandoned cell phones, one belonging to Meredith, the other to housemate Filomena Romanelli.

Amanda Knox, then 20, was at the cottage with then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who was 23 at the time. Raffaele had called the Carabinieri (police investigators) soon after he and Amanda had arrived at the cottage to find suspicious circumstances and no response to their knocks on Meredith's locked door. It was Amanda's second time there that morning. She had arrived home after spending the night at Raffaele's apartment and then had returned to his place to get Raffaele and bring back home with her because she had become afraid after seeing a usually-locked door open and other unsettling signs.

In the days following the murder, Amanda and Rafaelle voluntarily were superficially questioned as witnesses by investigators. But as visions of satanic orgies danced in his head, Chief Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini concluded that the murder had resulted from a drug-infested sex orgy for four that had gone horribly wrong- the unwilling victim, Amanda, Raffaele, and a yet-unknown individual. So, Amanda and Raffaele were actually questioned as suspects but with no lawyer present- which is illegal in Italy. They were arrested on November 6 for murder.

Amanda's boss, musician and nightclub owner Diya Lumumba, was also arrested. But two weeks later, on November 20, he was released when the man whose DNA and blood was found at the crime scene, Rudy Guédé, then 20, was arrested in Germany- to where he had fled on the day after the murder. Two weeks later, Rudy was extradited to Italy. Rudy's DNA was also found inside Meredith's body. A bloody fingerprint belonging to Rudy was also found at the crime scene.

Amanda's DNA was found in the bathroom that she shared with Meredith- as would be expected. And it was found on the handle of a knife selected by investigators from a kitchen drawer in Raffaele's apartment because it appeared extra-clean. But Amanda's DNA was not found in Meredith's room, the crime scene.

Raffaele's DNA was found on the severed bra clasp that had lain on the floor for more than six weeks and been kicked around before the polizia scientifica collected it. It was tested with the same equipment used to test Meredith's DNA and was tested in proximity to large quantities of her DNA. The bra clasp, prior to being belatedly tested, was handled several times by various gloved investigators before it was dropped on the floor. And who knows where those gloves had been.

Have you ever seen a subshop person make a sub sandwich for a customer, handle money, and then make your sub while wearing the same gloves for the entire time? If you haven't, that's because your food operator is more savvy than the polizia scientifica who don't understand that when you handle an object carrying one person's DNA and then handle another object, that person's DNA is easily transferred to the second object.

No DNA of Amanda's was present at the crime scene. As for Raffaele, just a contaminated bra clasp that had (literally) been kicked around showed his DNA. Yet, in Rudy's case, his DNA was rampant throughout the crime scene. He even emptied his bowels in a toilet and left the feces unflushed. And his fingerprints were found on the toilet paper.

Shocking Conclusion. How could Giuliano Mignini and his jurors think that Amanda and Raffaele are guilty and thus convict them when their DNA was not at the crime scene? Their logic is this-it's because there were no fingerprints and no DNA belonging to Amanda and Raffaele at the crime scene that Amanda and Raffaele are guilty. The pair must have cleaned up the evidence. Yes, Mr. Mignini and his jurors expect the world to believe that Amanda and Raffaele were not only able to recall everything that they had touched but also to recall everything that Rudy had touched and then to remove every trace of their DNA and fingerprints from the chaotic crime scene while intentionally leaving only Rudy's DNA evidence untouched.

Giuliano's Nursery Rhyme
Oh where, oh where has their DNA gone?
Oh where, oh where can it be?
No Rafaelle's and no Amanda's.
There's only Rudy Guédé's.

Knox did NOT falsely accuse Lumumba. Police accused him & insisted to Knox they had proof. They harshly interrogated her until she made confused statements of imagined visions of herself & Lumumba present at the crime. She reaffirmed her innocence afterward but couldn't help Lumumba. All she knew was she was innocent. Cops said they had proof against Lumumba. Even if she knew they were lying, it wouldn't have mattered. They wouldn't believe anything she said.

Do you believe Amanda Knox is guilty? If your only sources are tabloid headlines and one or two websites that post hateful propaganda, you'll want to hang her. But when I looked past the accusations with an open mind at her side of the story, I cried and wanted to hug her. I challenge you to look at both sides before you make up your mind.
Proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt? Not even close.

There is no credible DNA evidence linking either Amanda or Raffaele to the murder. There were two pieces of evidence presented by the prosecution that are simply not credible. The first item is the kitchen knife. Not only was the knife completely free of blood, by the prosecution expert's own tests and testimony, the knife was also free of relevant DNA. Amanda's DNA was on the handle. This is a perfectly ordinary result. This is a kitchen knife found in a kitchen where Amanda often prepared meals. The knife is no more incriminating than any fork or can opener from that same drawer, which would also have had Amanda's DNA on the handle!

The second item is the bra clasp. The bra clasp wasn't retrieved for more than a month and a half, during which time it was kicked around the floor of an apartment by numerous investigators. It's value as evidence was destroyed by that completely improper handling. Police video shows this clasp in several different locations on the floor and it finally

Use some common sense and look at the real Amanda Knox vs. the myths and nonsense put out by the Italian authorities. They had no real evidence against her, so they slandered and vilified her in the press to create an atmosphere and assumption of guilt before the trial even started. Ignore the lies and look at the facts and you'll see the evidence for a conviction just doesn't exist.
At least be honest and look at her side of the story before you decide:

According to 427 page "motivation" document, the murder wasn't premeditated. With this theory, the judges needed a reason for Raffaele's kitchen knife to somehow make it over to Meredith's cottage so it could be used in the murder. The report states that Raffaele most likely suggested to Amanda that she should carry the knife in her purse for protection. How many women carry large bulky kitchen knives around in their purse for protection?
How about these safety suggestions? Do these sound reasonable?

    1. Always walk in groups.
    2. Avoid walking in secluded areas after dark.
    3. Carry pepper spray.
    4. Take a self defense course.
    5. Carry large kitchen knife in purse.

Really? That's honestly how the knife made it's way over to the cottage? I think it sounds ridiculous. How about you?

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are innocent. They are victims of an unfair prosecution and court system. All the lies and false evidence have been refuted. Amanda's only regret can be that she was wrongfully convicted. Don't let an innocent rot in jail. This could have happened to any young student visiting Italy. There are many murders in america that remain unsolved, in part due to an absense of DNA at the crime scene. Are we to believe that in each of those cases the victim's killed themselves, since there's no trace of anyone who did the crime?
