The Road Block had one of the team member repelling, face first, down the pyramid hotel and Ericka went first. She did great, which was a nice surprise, and the two kept their large lead going into their next task. Cheyne was scared but did the task while Sam had fun running down the building. The teams arrived at the Love show in that order, after another infomercial for the Love show, and began their next task. What they had to do was one player would be in a harness and the other would have to pull them back, let go so the person in the harness could grab a bouquet of flowers. So simple but oh so much drama!
Ericka was in the harness first and was getting very close but when Meghan/Cheyne and Sam/Dan arrived she began to get nervous and flip out. I mean major flip out, we may have had a "shit" slip in there as well. Meghan was able to get the flowers after a few tries and they were off to their next task while Sam and Dan followed behind. Their clue was to go to a famous hotel but weren't given the name. Meghan/Cheyne took the taxi lead but were going to the wrong hotel, the Venetian, when Sam and Dan realized the mistake. They quickly fixed their taxi driver and arrived at the hotel first with a strong, but lost, lead.
Meanwhile Ericka was still flipping out over the flower bounce task and after she and Brian switched places, they quickly flipped back to finally get the flower and allowing Ericka to calm down. They arrived at the next task before Meghan/Cheyne and believed they were now in third but were shocked when the two arrived after them. The task was to count $1 million in poker chips. Sam and Dan had a strong lead but were wrong in their first few guesses while Meghan/Cheyne counted quickly and correct on their first. They went on to their next task followed by Sam and Dan while Ericka/Brian lost their second place by incorrectly counting several times but for some reason Ericka didn't flip out. Maybe they sedated her after the flower bounce, or the Love people gave her some drugs.
Their last task was to go to the MGM hotel and find someone in a room. There they found Neil Diamond who told them to go to his house for the final Pit Stop. He didn't really say WHERE his house was... but I guess that's a clue enough. Sam and Dan arrived second and the two were in a close race to the finish line. Meghan and Cheyne streamlined ahead though and were the inevitable winners who everyone basically saw winning since the half way mark of the season. That may be the case but all three teams were great this entire season and created a great final leg. There were many place shifts with all three being in the lead at some point, making it a fun finale and a great roll in to season 16: the season of Jeff and Jordan! Can't wait for that one!
