Amazon Drops Price of Xbox 360 Arcade Console
Other popular Xbox deals include Wal-Mart's Xbox 360 Elite Package. With a retail price of $299, the system includes a 120GB hard drive and two games: Pure and Lego Batman. With the purchase of this package, Wal-Mart is including a $50 gift card to their online store, however. The deal is only good online and not available in their stores.
Wal-Mart isn't stopping its deals with the Elite Edition only. For $250, Wal-Mart is selling the Xbox 360 Arcade Console with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition and an Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Subscription Card.
Best Buy is trying to compete with Wal-Mart and Amazon's Xbox 360 sales through a deal of its own. Best Buy is offering a $50 Best Buy gift card with the purchase of the Xbox Elite Package ($299) and an Xbox 360 Elite Wireless Controller ($49).
Sales on games vary greatly by store. Best Buy is selling Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for $7.99, normally priced at $29.99. Best Buy is also selling the popular Call of Duty: World at War for $39.99, a savings of $20 from the original price.
Online retailer Newegg.com has lowered the prices of many Xbox 360 games. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X with an original price of $37 is now on sale for $16.99, a savings of $20. The ever popular Grand Theft Auto IV and GTA Episodes of Liberty City are on sale at a bundled price of $57.99. Guitar Hero's Aerosmith Bundle with a retail price of $69.99 is selling for $39.99, a sale of $30 on Newegg.com
Retailer Target has lowered the prices of its Xbox 360 games. Madden NFL 10 is now $49.99, from the price of $59.99. Halo 3 ODST is now going for $49.99, a drop of $10 or 17%.
The deals continue to come and go, expect these sales to end soon as new ones become available.
