Amazon Guarantees that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Will Arrive on July 21st

Pre-Order Your Copy Today

If you've considered pre-ordering Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but were afraid you wouldn't get it on time, you might want to consider Amazon. Amazon made a statement today, saying that customers would receive Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Saturday, July 21st or Amazon would refund their money. But, how is this possible? Amazon has teamed up with UPS and the USPS to ensure that fans across America receive their book on July 21st. Normally, Amazon customers would have to pay more to receive Saturday shipping, but Amazon is offering to ship Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the same price as standard shipping would cost. If you're an Amazon Prime Member, you won't have to pay for shipping at all.

This is amazing for Harry Potter fans. This means that they won't have to stand in line waiting for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to be released. Instead, they can wake up on Saturday morning and begin reading right away. Harry Potter fans should consider that Amazon is the only company guaranteeing that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will arrive on July 21st. Other companies claim that it will arrive on or slightly after July 21st. This means that you must go with Amazon if you want to guarantee that you'll receive your pre-order on the release date.

Why is Amazon going above and beyond to make sure Harry Potter fans receive book 7 on its release date? It may be the fact that Amazon has received thousands of orders for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In fact, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows rose to #1 on Amazon's bestseller list the first day it was available for pre-order. But, it goes farther than that. Amazon received more orders for book 7 in one day, than it did in two weeks for book 6. In other words, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been a huge success for Amazon.

This isn't anything new. In 2005, Amazon customers received Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the day it was released as well. But, how does UPS and the USPS feel about these high demands?

Kurt Kuehn, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, at UPS said that, "UPS is working its own magic to ensure Harry Potter fans and Amazon.com customers have 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' in their hands the first day it's available"

Tony Pajunas, Vice President, Network Operations, for the USPS said, "Our employees are proud to be a part of such a special delivery to hundreds of thousands of Harry Potter fans and Amazon.com customers."

We received the last couple of HP books through Amazon this way. We slept in on Saturday, opened the door around 11am, and there was the book leaning against it. I don't know the actual delivery time, but as UPS usually waits till the last minute to get shipments to us, I've been really impressed by how early the books arrive.

None of my local bookstores carry new books. That's cool and all, in most cases - I love supporting my local businesses, of course. But for Harry Potter, I went with Amazon because they guaranteed that I'll get it on Saturday. It'll get here around lunchtime, which is perfect because I have to do the weekly errands that morning as usual. I'll be able to come home, grab the book and spend the rest of the day finding out what happens.

Or you could order it from a local Bookshop, where you would be get the book first thing in the day, or at midnight the evening before!

This scared me, because I already pre-ordered at Barnes and Noble (My fiance and I are huge Harry Potter nerds). I checked and their website does say that customers will get the books on the publication date if they order now, but under general shipping info, it also says that they don't make saturday deliveries. I emailed them and said that if there is a guarantee, they need to advertise it better! If there isn't... I'm cancelling my order! Thanks for the info! I would be crushed if I had to wait an extra day. Haha. I know. It's somewhat pothetic.

But it's so much fun to stand in line at midnight at the local bookstore. Who would want to give that up?

You might not get the book till like 3 pm... It won't be there when you wake up
