Amazon Kindle: The Best Portable E-Book

The Amazon Kindle is primarily a reading device, however, you can also surf the Web and write notes or comments. You can type in orders for a book not currently available for the Amazon Kindle and the publisher will be notified that there is a demand for the book in a Kindle version. Books can be purchased from anywhere in the world from your PC and sync to the Kindle.

Reduce the cost of book purchases by having Amazon to send converted documents to your regular e-mail account instead of your Kindle account. This conversion is free. After converted and received, you can then download the attachment and sync via USB. The Amazon Kindle backs up all of your notes and bookmarks automatically.

Catalog your books in alphabetical order and eliminate the storage problem that's likely to occur when you have bought several hundred books. You can blog and read newspaper and magazine articles. Your Portable E-book Reader allows you to use other services such as Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo Finance, Yellow Pages, and BBC News to name a few.

Free wireless data access comes with the Amazon Kindle. This is not the Wi-Fi type, but the mobile broadband type of free wireless and connects anywhere a Sprint cell phone can connect. If Sprint happens not be available, it offers an auxiliary connection. Everything you subscribe to can be downloaded free. There are over 50,000 books available for free download.

The Portable E-book Readers has created additional business opportunities. Authors can now use the electronic book format and increase their readership. Amazon has a dedicated website that allows audio books to be purchased. You can listen to audio books on your Amazon Kindle. Kindle is also an MP3 player and has both speakers and a headphone jack. Music can be enjoyed while reading.

Princeton, Yale, Oxford, and Berkeley announced plans to publish Kindle version of its textbooks. Considering the fact that most students are forced to pay at least $100 for a textbook that they need to lug around campus, the future revenue possibilities of offering textbooks at a deeply discounted price to be run on the Kindle are simply huge. Students can download their class notes and blog with classmates. The Portable E-book Readers allows the busiest schedule to enjoy reading a book. Students can also use the Amazon Kindle for research. The feature called "Ask Kindle NowNow" allows you to ask any question you like and get a response from a human researcher in 5 minutes.

No other Portable eBook Reader beats the Amazon Kindle's reliability, price, features, content availability, customer service and ease of use. Deciding on a gift will no longer be a chore.
