Ambiguous

James R. Ford
small shells stolen from the sand
beaches, miles long won't miss them
some shells are broken, yet their colors are brilliant
washed by the waves of time

seagulls fly above
squawking and swooping upon the early morning surf
some people run by the waves, ignoring the passions of the sea
the life giving forces of the ocean's pleasure

soon, children will play near the tidal pool
created by the Maker for all to enjoy
sandcastles will be built and admired
only to re-form as part of the shore by nightfall's end

the moon will rise above the great sea
casting shadows on lovers walking hand in hand
caressed by the water's salty nature.

Thanks for comments. I've lived near the ocean for most of my life. There are many parallels associated with water and its life giving force.
