Ambush

And so in falling dusk i sat with gun
In the tree commanding well a frequent run
I take my gun and aim at you
But my heart and god says no

I shout freeze and you look at me
With eye filled with fear glaring towards me
At point blank i raise my gun at you
Ready to fire if you should go

Minutes have past without moving
My finger is at the trigger waiting
You then slowly move and lay down your gun
for you know you are cornered and no where else to run

I ordered you to turn your back at me
And slowly said you can run for the tree
Without hesitation yo run fearlessly
For you taught i have set you free

Then suddenly i pulled the trigger 1..2..3..
A loud noise was heard over the valley
Your body drop like a rain on earth
In a dry land filled with dirt

Moments later you stand up with your arms and legs
Searching your body for wound and blood shed
But to your surprise you found none
Because the bullet fired was meant for no one

Slowly i put down my gun
And whisper the devil is out of my hand
God has commanded us not to kill a man
For we have no authority taking the life of any one.
