The plantation has two types of rooms for accommodation. There is the Amelia Inn & Beach Club with rooms opening toward the ocean and each room featuring a private balcony and then there are the Villas of Amelia, featuring 1 to 3 bedrooms. Many of the villas have an ocean view while others have resort views. With modern plumbing, soft bedding and the villa having a kitchenette, a dining area and a living room the accommodation is sinfully luxurious. The villa complexes have 1 pool or more while the ocean view rooms have a 2-tiered pool. The food is good enough to satisfy any palate and with formal and casual dining options nobody has any complaint.
The Amelia Lobby Lounge is probably the best way to end a great evening- with a night cap in hand. Those with a sweet tooth should not miss Cooper's Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts. The ice cream is scrumptious. The resort offers youth programs, nature tours, fishing and golf excursions and a great spa experience. There is more offered in lieu of activities and all the guests have to do is arrange their choice of activity at the tour desk.

This resort is a great choice for families and couples who want to have a holiday that has adventure and relaxation combined. The resort is surrounded by oaks, has a 23-court racquet park, includes 20 pools, offers a great spa and salon, guests can take yoga classes, make use of the health club and sauna's and steam room and relax in ultra luxurious rooms. Talk about being pampered. The hotel has enough to keep kids occupied and the privacy of the villas allows couples to enjoy a romantic evening without having to go to any restaurant. This is one resort that has it all.
Bottom Line
The resort is one of the few places in Florida that is located in the main tourist area and yet, boasts a serene and quite atmosphere. Accommodating families, couples and individuals it offers a variety of activity without creating boisterous crowds. The staff is friendly and very professional, the dining options divine and there are so many activities within the resort grounds that people may never need to venture out.
For those interested in other tours, the resort arranges fishing, nature trails and other such excursions that can satisfy even the most adventurous. The more romantic in nature can laze on the private balconies or terraces and enjoy the landscape.
