America the Free ..... A Rebuttal ..... I Don't Think So!!!!!
If you are an American citizen and you are trying to better yourself; then by all means go for what you can get from the government to better yourself. God knows we Americans suffer enough from what the government DOES NOT do for us, but DOES for illegal's and others that just come to this country to USE us and what our government offers to them but NOT to the us citizen.
A lady stated that we could not pay her to come back to America, because she thinks we are narrow minded, and after becoming an American citizen, took her money (that she worked for as an American citizen) and went back to her own country. My answer to her is: thank goodness there is one less person, from another country, that our hard earned American dollars are not paying to come to America.
Our taxes are wasted on enough of these people, that will just turn around and go back to their own countries, after they have gotten what they wanted from us. WHY DOES OUR GOVERNMENT ALLOW THIS? WHY can't Americans get the benefits that are given freely to others that DO NOT deserve what we give to them?
I have a quote from a medical care giver in a state in the U.S.A. I will not divulge who he is, because our government might not like what he has to say, but I find it very interesting, and I don't give A DAMN what the government has to think about me or what I have to say, they are about as useless as tits on a bore hog.
It gets worse....Everyday, People come to the USA from elsewhere illegally in order to get Dialysis and other expensive medical care, which no other country provides free of charge. As undocumented aliens, NY state continues to provide ongoing dialysis, and these patients only need to re-register once every year. Other states such as Fla. Have gotten on the ball and force undoc.'s to re-register EVERY time they request dialysis. Many of these people simply come to NY to get their treatment. While I don't have a problem w/ others accessing medical care, I DO have a problem paying for it out of my exorbitant NY state AND NY City payroll taxes....
Now you decide if what he has to say is right or not!
Why do we continue to let things like this HAPPEN? What is becoming of America and Americans?
Another issue for another time: WHY is GOD being removed from our life style? And if HE is going to be removed from our government, then why do our government office's close on religious holidays and get paid for being off with our tax dollars? This is not right, it is not the AMERICAN way! IN GOD WE TRUST, always have, always will! Why am I saying this, when I do not attend church? Because it is our right to have God in our life, it is our privilege, our freedom to believe!
A friend just reminded me of something Americans USE to say: "America; Love It Or Leave It". What has happened to this belief? Where is America headed? What is to become of our Social Security Taxes? When will we take a stand? WHEN WILL "WE" TAKE BACK AMERICA? Thank you for your time, whether you believe in what I say or not. It is my opinion, and I will stand by it.

I want to take a minute of your time, I am not asking for it I am just taking it; now how do you feel? Well if you don't know me I am sure there are many names you are calling me at the moment, which is alright with me, I am old enough that words don't hurt or bother me very much. In fact I hope you are upset that I have taken this amount of your time and say nothing. That first line is what other countries are doing to Americans, and we are letting them do it. If you don't like what I have to say then you say what you want and let the rest of the world judge you as you are judging me and MY opinion.
I want to thank EVERYONE of you for your comments, and to my friends that are so gracious to defend what I say, I am especially grateful, but lets let people say what they have to say regardless of what it is. Time will tell. Ken
RJT's comments are like the pot calling the kettle black... Although he as the right to his opinions, he must remember that we also have the right to ours....the difference is that I am not going to stoop to his level and resort to name calling. I stand on my earlier comment.
I guess RJT didn't actually read the comments. I support people's right to have opinions, that's all I said. AND RJT: You don't have the right to call anyone names. I mean if you honestly beleive that you are an open-minded example that WE should follow, then please act like something other than a two-year old.
Ken, I apologize to you for this rude comment to RJT, but I rarely get angry, but I am most offended that he didn't even take the time to read through what I wrote. He just jumped the gun without even getting the meaning.
You sound like a stark raving lunatic. There is no intellectual retort to this kind of lunacy. You and much of the people posting comments on your story sound like you're living in Nazi Germany with your hysterical chauvinism, extreme nationalism and bigotry. There's an absence of perspective on how utterly insane and nonsensical you all sound. All kidding aside, you are a frightening bunch.
And I am sorry that that lady doesn't like America (the lady you mention in your article). I think I read her comment and was a bit saddened. I'm sorry that she dislikes Americans so much. I feel that her generalizing Americans was a bit unfair in my opinion. I feel like I'm an okay sort of person and she doesn't know me. How does she know if I am narrow-minded or not? She has never met me or you or Lisa or Mike or any other American. It just breaks my heart that she dislikes America, I wish there was some way to change that. Anyway, Ken, you write whatever you want to. If people don't want to hear it, then they can always move to another CP page.
Ken, I thankyou for your opinions. I think it is so sad that people have been so rude against your opinions. I really think that you have every right to say whatever you want to. You are stating your opinions and there is no harm in that. If other people can not be open-minded about that, then they should not comment on your commentary. I enjoy hearing what you have to say, because you are full of good advice on writing and things like that. I also appreciate the articles you are writing, because it is something you feel strongly about, if people can't accept others' opinions, then they are quite close-minded.
