The "Mystery Power" was the talk of the town as Jessie feared he would be ousted because of it. He talked to Lydia and told her he was worried, she didn't understand why but it would all become clear soon. After a montage of everyone saying who COULD be the holder of the Mystery Power, it was shown that most realized it was Jeff. Natalie/Jessie/Chima all realized that Jeff or Jordan probably held the power and wanted to do something about it. Natalie and Jessie decided to spend an entire day with the two but it didn't go over well. Natalie sucked at badminton while Jessie couldn't even hold a five minute conversation with Jordan. Plus the two realized the plan that Natalie/Jessie had. Jordan even realized that something was up and let it all be known in yet another hysterical Diary Room confessional.
Russell was the only one who wanted the Power to be used and worked on Jeff to ensure he stayed. He also worked for votes just in case the nominations weren't changed and focused on Michele. While the two talked about why Michele should keep him, they were overheard by Natalie who called Jessie to listen as well. Jessie then barged in on the two and simply reminded Michele that only a few days ago Russell was calling her psycho to her face. Michele agreed that was the case but Russell freaked out, arguing with Jessie about butting into their conversation. It was obvious he knew what was going on and didn't like the fact that his only chance with Michele was blown. Russell continued to show his angry side while Chima continued to show her Diva side, especially with her family segment.
Yes even on the most dramatic night of the season they still found time to include a segment from home, this time Chima's grandmother and friend were interviewed. They let us know that the Chima we see on TV is the real Chima and it basically showed her as being the drama, princess, queen that she is. In her talk with Julie, Chima continued to show her aggressive side by stating her target was Russell and she wanted him to go. Chima is the main reason tonight's episode was pretaped as CBS feared what she would say or do on TV. It seems she knew not to act crazy during the live show as she called out the producers several times. Guess it was a good call to go pre-taped but will they do it next week as well? Hmm.
Following the Chima-filled "from home" segment we finally got to "the goods". Julie told everyone that it was the last night for the Mystery Power and YES, Jeff did use it. Jordan's mouth fell to the ground when Jeff stood up to reveal he had the power, even though everyone knew it was him Jordan still had no clue. Julie then told everyone that the power was in fact the coup d'etat and gasps went out around the couch. Jeff then took down Lydia and placed Natalie in her spot. He also took off Russell and replaced him with Jessie, who took off one shirt to reveal another, self-absorbent shirt. The two knew it was going to happen but everyone still seemed pretty shocked. Before the vote Julie revealed that since Chima was de-throwned she was now able to compete for HoH again. That seemed to be something new and both Chima and Jeff could not vote.
Before the votes went in Natalie and Jessie seemed ok to be on the block but the voters were rather shaken. Lydia cried as she voted for Natalie while Kevin seemed stunned to be able to vote for Jessie. In the end, Jessie was sent packing by a vote of 3 to 2 with only Lydia and Russell voting for Natalie. He seemed pumped to be evicted for some reason and was in a much better mood then his first time around. He was once again screwed by America, and realized it, by thanking us as he walked out the door. It makes sense he would go since nobody liked him last season but at least this season the house had most of the decision. He talked to Julie briefly about being in the "entertainment business" as he striked a wrestler move. Julie sriked a pose back and basically made fun of Jessie. She was through it once before and she did a great job tonight with everything. She's warmed up a lot this season and its really showing.
Back after the break Julie began the next HoH with everyone playing. They would compete two at a time with the winner moving on and loser picking the next two players to compete. The questions were asked about past challenges and they had to choose if it was an HoH, Have Not or a PoV competition. Lydia and Kevin competed first with Lydia going out. Kevin then chose Jeff and Russell, after Chima told him too, with Russell getting the answer wrong and Jeff moving on. He chose Chima and Natalie to compete with Chima moving on, choosing Jeff and Jordan. Jeff answered correctly, sending Kevin and Chima to the podium. Kevin answered first which left Michele and Jeff to answer. Michele answered first, putting her in the final two with Kevin and ultimately giving her the win. With Michele in power I'm not sure where things will go as she is still in the middle of everyone in this game. She'll have to make a move and when she does, we'll be watching. Plus with a double eviction next week things are going to be crazy once again and I'm sure Chima won't like it, not at all.
