"America is Malnourished" and Other Quack Doctor Lines

Rashel Dan
Ever met a quack? It may sound funny but these are exactly the people that you should be avoiding. A quack is a person who tells you half-truths about medical conditions and then tries to sell you all sorts of drugs and medicines that will supposedly cure those ailments he speaks of. What are the things that you should look out for when you are unexpectedly confronted by one of these "medical experts"?

Nutrition

Everybody has their own opinion about good or bad nutrition. None worse than the occasional quack doctor who will tell you only one part of the story about the nutritional condition of most Americans. A quack will tell you all the great things that can happen to you if you take in different vitamins and minerals. He or she will also tell you about all the bad things that can happen if you don't take them. What they fail to tell you are that people need to balance their diets and that it is from these balanced diets that the right nutrients come from. Government guidelines on balanced diets already give you all the information you need to balance your diet. Don't buy all sorts of strange pills from a person who is just as strange and lacking in proper knowledge.

America is malnourished

A quack will tell you that most Americans lack nutrients and that they are poorly nourished. This can't even be further from the truth. The fact about bad nourishment in the United States is that there are two problems: obesity in the overall population and undernourishment among the impoverished. Why should a poor person invest any money on pills when that same money can go into buying food that can nourish them? Also, it is untrue that the average American is addicted to so-called junk food that an adequate diet would almost be out of the question. Besides, not everything you eat should be packed with nutrients. Another fact is that there is nobody who follows the government guidelines on a balanced diet who suffers from any nutrient or vitamin deficiency. Keep these facts in mind when approached by someone selling so-called vitamin-enhancing medicines.

Diseases are brought on by a faulty diet

This again couldn't be any further from the truth. Be aware that one of the only conditions you can gain from a faulty diet is coronary heart disease. Anything else that you feel like fatigue, aches and pains, and insomnia is all symptoms associated to emotional stress. It is because of emotional stress that the body reacts to manifest these conditions. There is no reason to take vitamin or nutrient pills to stop these from happening because these conditions are natural.

These are some of the claims made by quack doctors about nutrition and the way that particular conditions should be treated. Remember that if you are sick, it is not because you lack vitamins or minerals in your body. It is because you have caught something like a virus or some kind of wound infection. Keep an eye out for that quack who keeps trying to sell you all sorts of alternative medicines and so-called vitamins because the best remedies come from your family doctor who holds a real degree in medicine.
