America Returns House Leadership to Tyranny

GOP Regains Control of House: America Deserves What We Get This Time

Malina Debrie
After eight years of Bush, whose leadership brought us from prosperity to a mere speck of what we had acquired under Clinton, where this country saw the economy go from whispering life to struggling to even eat, we are once again headed in our downward spiral. People voted out of emotions rather than facts. People voted not based on the manner in which we can return to a prosperous country but on the mush that they were being fed. People did not think for themselves, they allowed others to dictate how they should think. People were blinded by color, not by evidence of change for the better.

Some of these same people will feel the hurt and pain yet never allow themselves to reflect on the actual cause of their pain. Voters did not consider the fact that thousands lost retirement funds, homes, college dreams, medical care and other luxuries under the George W Bush years of Tierney. They only seemed to consider the fact that at this moment, we have an African American President in the 'White' House. To some it never registered that President Barack Hussein Obama is not 'Black, He is not White. He is a combination of both Black and White. To some, that is the one and only issue that drives them. And to some who have boldly stated their non prejudicial views, prejudice is the catalyst that seems to be running this country.

Under Bush, we went to war that had no logical explanation. To most with a mere inkling of logical reasoning, the rationale for going to war was a guise to cover up other personal gains. Under Bush, we went after Sadam Hussein and his empire. We went after the man who had nothing to do with 9-11. We have not yet punished the master mind behind 9-11. He, Osama Bin Laden, today remains hidden and ready at any time to once again attack our 'Great' land. Our 'Great' land is going under at the hands of people only in the position for their personal gain and not to move this country into a better position or back into a 'great' country.

Do those who voted for the ones who have regained the seats not realize that everything we are suffering through today began when Bush took office for the first time? And then those same people placed him back in office a second time. The second which sealed their fate?

We have yet to find Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the attacks of 9-11. Today, he has dug himself into obscurity and possibly will never be located. Bush allowed this to happen. And then today, we return our house into the hands of those who regaled in the arms of Bush.

Under George W Bush II, this country is now looking at the American currency being almost worthless. We are looking at our children who will have to pull themselves up by the shoe string, unless they are proud heirs of the GOP, and work harder than ever before to survive even though America is deemed to be the land of plenty. This great land is toppling under the hands and leadership of the GOP.

Some of us will never see this land recover from the demolition of the GOP. The GOP works to keep the rich, rich and their quest to gain more riches and their desire is to keep the poor 'poorer.' They believe in a hierarchy of power guaranteeing that some stay in a tiered system of economical boundaries. In other words, the GOP believes in super rich, rich, median rich, low rich, non rich work-a-bees, and the poor. Their goal is to maintain a status of power with the poor always being poor and never able to dig themselves out of that hole. The GOP is about class and status. And if you have none, then your are to those "Worthless."

I say, whatever we find ourselves in , whatever situations we cannot seem to get out of, whatever blight brought on this land, the GOP was allowed to do it and the voters deserve what they get.

There has and always will be the haves and the have nots. Government no longer hears its people, nor do they want to. They are too much in the personl live of people where they don't belong, like on abortion, a decision which should be strickly between the individual, the doctor, the the individuals god, NO ONE ELSE. Maybe they should all, and I mean both parties, concentrate on other things, not just filling their pockets.

I noticed a long time ago when I was advised not to work too much overtime to help myself because the govenment would just take it that the social system was set up in such a way as to keep people in the social class into which they were born. It's the rich who have the "right connections" and who went to the "right schools" are the ones who tend to get the good jobs. And the rich also marry the rich, notice the high class trophy wives. I always did say that the big fish won't let the little fish swim. In fact, they eat us up. Do you think that the fine writers on AC would be writing for a web site making pennies on the dollar for our work if there wasn't a class system among writers? Very brave article considering the politcal climate. Thanks

I do not see how "Christians" can support the Rpublicans, the party of the rich, by the rich, for the rich... and for wars which, of course, were good for big business, no matter how many people die.

I really wish I could gloat, but as Florida U.S. Senate winner Marco Rubio said - no time for gloating! Too much rebuilding to do of a nation that's supposed to HEAR its people.
