American Airlines: From the World's Largest Air Carrier, to Bankruptcy, in 5 Years

And Then There Were One ..

Christopher

American Airlines was the world's largest air carrier as recently as 2006.

It, and Southwest, were the only two major U.S. airlines that had not filled for bankruptcy protection.

And then there were one.

This drama reminds me of what is happening with soap operas; the days in which there will only be one remaining soap opera seem closer than ever.

Even the parent company, AMR, filled for bankruptcy protection.

It must suck to be a pilot these days ...
