American Idol 2010: Tour for Season 9, Schedule Not Available Yet

Was it Worth Going Last Year? I Vote Yes

Kay Balbi
I checked with the American Idol website today, but I have not heard back yet, as to whether or not the Idol Tour has been booked for 2010 yet. It seems they must be working it, as it is only around the corner. They know who is going now, and it is just a matter of getting the venue's going, and the act choreographed, and before you know it, the Idol Show will be over, the Idols will have a few weeks off (maybe) and then back to the grind for the rest of the summer and early fall.

Did you hear, Katie Steven's is going to miss her graduation?

Last year the American Idols from Season 8 went on Tour starting July5th, here are the first three dates they had.

DATE, MARKET, VENUE

July 5 , Portland, OR , Rose Garden

July 7 , Tacoma, WA , Tacoma Dome

July 8 , Vancouver, BC , General Motors Place
(From the American Idol 2009 Tour Dates off their website.)

I am guessing American Idol Tour Tickets should be going on sale shortly; not sure if they will use these venues or others at the time of this writing.

Last year's Tour - XL Theater in Hartford, CT

Last year, my husband and I went to the XL Center and saw the 2009 American Idols perform various medleys together and as well as performing solo acts. Although Kris Allen was the winner of the 2009 Season, we stayed until Adam Lambert did his solo number and then we left to beat the crowds.

Adam's performance was pretty good but it was just a piece of the show and I found the other contestants somewhat pale in comparison. That night I had a terrible headache that became exacerbated by the crowd, lights and sound. I was glad to be there and wished I had been feeling better, but for me, it was worth going. Our tickets were reasonably priced at I think it was $16.00 a seat.

    Great information for fans.

I thought I wanted to be an idol... then I was reminded that I am a Jew and that the 10 laws that Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai prohibited them. Darn laws.... always getting in the way of a good time and an overfed ego.

    Nice job with this :)

You know - at first I really enjoyed this show. But then I noticed that the most qualified seldom win. If one is "entertaining" is more important than if one can "sing." Randy Jackson even admitted that being on key isn't of primary importance...

It would be fun to see them all in person. Good article.

The only reason I went to the tour last year was to see Kris Allen and he didn't disappoint. Rising up onto the stage with just his guitar and the screams of the crowd, and then starting his set with "Heartless," made the five-hour drive worthwhile. Sorry you missed it. It was a fun evening with all the fans there to see and cheer on their favorites.

I've never seen an Idol tour...imagine it's entertaining.
