American Idol 2011 Casey Abrams, James Durbin

Tonight's performances on American Idol were pretty good. But the ones that stood out the most for me are Casey Abrams and James Durbin's performances. Both Casey Abrams and James Durbin brought something to the stage that no one has ever done before on American idol.

Casey Abrams Standing Ovation

Once again, Casey Abrams was brilliant. After Casey Abrams performed, "Nature Boy," the audience and the judges, Jennifer Lopez, who by the way has been named the world's most beautiful woman by People Magazine...wow, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler stood up and applauded. Casey receiving the standing ovation of the night from the judges says it all. Not everybody gets a standing ovation on American Idol.

On Casey's performance, Jennifer Lopez said, "You bring that type of special, special thing to music. "Randy Jackson said, "I don't think we ever had anybody exactly like you ever...I thought it was brilliant, man. I thought it was absolutely genius." And Steven Tyler said, "You're an artist in the true sense of the word...You believe what was in your heart...There's a certain sophistication in what you do, man...You are so good, man." I don't think I ever heard Steven Tyler comment so much on American Idol. Steven usually says, "That was beautiful," except today.

James Durbin's Performance

James Durbin also brought something different to the stage on American Idol. James Durbin performed, "Heavy Metal." Heavy metal on American Idol? Really, James? Wow! I've never seen that one before. Well, Jennifer Lopez said to James Durbin, "That felt really really real...that was crazy...at the end of the day, we can have a country Idol, we can have a pop Idol, we can have a heavy metal Idol..." Why not? What do you all think?

Randy Jackson said, "...you guys were just at a James Durbin's concert...this is unbelievable...tonight you did you...Durbin rocks, Durbin rocks!" And Steven Tyler said, "Outstanding Durbin. You just had to get that out didn't you? Excellent..." For the second time, Steven Tyler said something else other than "beautiful." I have to say, James Durbin nailed this performance on American Idol!

James Dubin will pull an upset. I predict James Durbin in the finale instead of Scotty McCreery. Watch..
