American Idol 2011: Group Night in Hollywood (VIDEO)

American Idol hopefuls were put through the ringer for the season 10 group night auditions in Hollywood. Following are some highlights of the show.

Adios Tiffany Rios

This arrogant contestant from New Jersey made the comment earlier in the competition that she was basically more talented than everyone else. It seems as though the other contestants remembered this because no one would let her join in their group. She finally persuaded Jessica Yantz to join her and the American Idol rules had to be bent a bit to let them go on as a duo. Rios did not get put through. It's doubtful that any of the contestants will miss her.

Jacee Badeaux Gets The Last Laugh

Jacee Badeaux is an adorable, shy 15-year-old boy. It was heartbreaking last night to watch him get cruelly kicked out of Clint Jun Gamboa's group. Jacee seemed to wander aimlessly and finally sought comfort from his mother. Luckily Brett Loewenstern's group, Sugar Mamas and the Babies, asked Jacee to join them. Jacee had to learn a song he had never heard of, Mercy, and he had to learn it in a very short period of time. During the audition, he forgot the words and ad libbed on the spot. The entire group was voted through.

James Durbin Wows Again

James Durbin's group sang Queen's "Somebody To Love." Once again, his enormous talent blew everyone away. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that James was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome and Asperger syndrome in the past.

Steven Tyler, Gotta Love Him

Steven Tyler is just plain fun to watch. One of the auditioning groups called Steven upon on stage and had him sit in a chair. They they all took turns singing to him, which he seemed to love! And at one point, Seven Tyler jumped up on the stage and performed an impromptu drum solo!
