'American Idol' 2011 Season 10: Cliques and Kicks on Group Night

"American Idol" February 16 Hollywood Group Round

Victoria Leigh Miller
Wednesday night on "American Idol" it was back for more Hollywood Week competition, where the remaining 168 contestants had to form groups for the all-important group singing round.

And it was clear that some of these kids were not playing nice- and clique-iness was coming into play. One kid even showed up on stage with a lyric cheat sheet. So who moved on to the next round on "American Idol" Season 10?

After her proclamation last week that she was tired of watching other people try to do what she knows she can do, Jersey Girl Tiffany Rios ruffled a few feathers. She was having a hard time finding a group to partner up with.

There was also some drama for Ashley Sullivan, who nearly succumbed to the pressure of group week. She nearly quit the show, but after some soul searching she decided to go back to her group.

Jordan Dorsey was downright picky about who he wanted to work with and after being booted from his original group in the middle of the night, young Jacee Badeaux was taken in by Bret Lowenstern's group, Sugar Mama and the Babies.

In the end, Judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez had 39 groups- with names like Brothers From Another Mother and Three's Company - to critique. No easy task.

Some of the people that made it through to the next round were Pia Toscano, Robbie Rosen, Adrian Michael, Laura Turner and Jordan Dorsey.

Tiffany Rios and Jessica Yantz failed with their Rebel Star duo, and only some of the members of Spanglish- Jovany Barreto and Karen Rodrigiuez- went through.

Lauren Alaina and Colton Dixon are also in, while J-Lo's one-time fave, Paris Tassin, bombed.

The Guitterez brothers were split- Aaron was sent home while his bro, Mark, made it.

And Ashley Sullivan ended up making the right choice. Her group, The Hits, came off as the best harmonized group of the day.

James Durbin and Caleb Johnson were the only two members of their group to move on, while a team of 15 and 16 year olds that included Jalen Harris and Felix Ramsey- and dubbed The Minors- all made it through. The stage mom presence was heavy for that one.

And estranged couple Rob Bolin and Chelsee Oaks are finally split for good: she made it, he didn't.

Next Up: You can catch the next episode of "American Idol" on Thursday, February 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET on FO
