'American Idol' 2011 Season 10 Spoilers : Karen Rodriguez, Gutierrez Brothers Highlight 'Idol' Los Angeles Auditions

For L.A. Auditions the Freaks Come Out at Night-- and During the Day, Too

Thursday night on "American Idol" it was off to Los Angeles to check out the local talent. And the talent pool also included some select online applicants- courtesy of MySpace. But during the two-day L.A. search, there were plenty of censor bleeps (and not just for Steven Tyler!) and little Hollywood gold.

Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler all had their moments this week. Unfortunately, the judges were more entertaining than most of the "Idol" auditioners.

With contestant Victoria Garrett, the L.A. auditions start off on a terrible note. To this off-key singer, Steve Tyler exclaims, "'You're going to....Siberia!" Then he tries to play nice and tell her she has a sweet and angelic voice, "like a little lamby." Bahhhhhh!

Next up is Tim Halperin, a 23-year old who has had a crush on J-Lo since he was a kid. Jennifer is the deciding vote for him, and she says she likes his special tone. Golden Ticket: Yes

Boy besties friends Daniel Gomez and Isaac Rodriguez lack that special something, with Randy telling them that singing is just not their thing. But Rodriguez keeps up his positive attitude and swears he's going to keep practicing.

Day Two brings another Rodriguez- Karen- who comes to L.A. courtesy of the MySpace audition process. This girl has it. She tells J-Lo she sang to her on MTV's "Total Request Live" once and J-Lo liked her voice back then. She gets a ticket to Hollywood.

Tynisha Roches is pure entertainment. She starts off with a tribute to Frank Sinatra that goes sour fast. When the judges try to cut her off, she chases Randy around with her microphone. Finally Randy screams, "Security!"

Tynisha isn't too pleased. She complains to host Ryan Seacrest that Randy is "all about giggling." The she calls him the Pillsbury Dough boy.

The next contestant is pretty, a belly dancer- and she has a great voice. Some people have it all. Yeah, Heidi Khzam is in. Randy Jackson says he thinks she's one of the best they're ever seen- ever. J-Lo looks annoyed.

Matt Frankel, a self-described freelance music producer (he has a record breaking with Chaka Khan) bombs big time. Randy Jackson calls him delusional. Frankel later says, "My mom also told me if you have nothing kind to say about someone then don't say anything at all, so on the subject of Randy Jackson my lips are sealed." He then goes on to speculate that Randy is just mad because he's not related to Michael Jackson or Samuel L. Jackson.

Following this disaster is a huge series of No's: William Roberts, Jeannette Manning, David Hall, Anthony Granger, Arista Pemberton. Jeesh, isn't there any good, unsigned talent in L.A.?

Finally, a breath of fresh air. Two brothers- Mark and Aaron Gutierrez, who make beautiful music together with a duet of Bill Withers' "Lean On Me." Yes! Hollywood gold. ST calls them "Godlike."

Finally, in a far cry from last year's "Pants on the Ground" dude, we have Cooper Robinson, a deranged James Brown wannabe who's a tad belligerent. He's 59-years old, too, so how did he get in to these auditions anyway?

Next week: It's off to San Francisco, where we're promised we'll see the best talent yet.

You can catch the final round of "American Idol" auditions on Wednesday, February 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
