Hello American Idol 2011 Top 3 fans! I'm back after having technical difficulties. Tonight on American Idol 2011 Top 3, each contestant performed 3 songs. Singers performed one song of their choice, one song chosen by Jimmy Iovine, and a third song chosen by the judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. My favorites of tonight's show are Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart.
Scotty McCreery Performances
Tonight on American Idol 2011 Top 3, Scotty McCreery performed, Amazed, Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not and She Believes in Me. Scotty McCreery did an amazing job with Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not. For me, that was one of the best performances of the night. Here's what the judges had to say.
Steven Tyler said, "That was great -- A real character showing through." Jennifer Lopez said, " -- you feel so comfortable in your own skin -- it was so good." Then, Jennifer Lopez made a special request for Scotty McCreery to shave his head a little bit for the finale just like he had it the first time. I personally didn't like that look for him, but whatever. You gotta please the judges, right?
Anyway, Randy Jackson said, " -- you were approaching it Garth level -- I thought I was like at your concert again dude -- " Randy Jackson also agreed with Ryan Seacrest that Scotty McCreery is in it to win it.
Haley Reinhart Performances
Tonight on American Idol 2011 Top 3, Haley Reinhart performed, What Is & What Should Never Be, Rhiannon and You Oughta Know. Haley Reinhart did an outstanding job with What Is & What Should Never Be. For me, that was one of the best performances of the night. Here's what the judges had to say.
Randy Jackson said, "You're fearless -- this is Zeplin -- this is like crazy vocals. Got your father on stage. This is was one of your best performances ever -- crazy! Haley is in it to win it, baby." Steven Tyler said, "That was superb. That was just so so good." Jennifer Lopez said, "That was a really tough song. You sang it really really great. It was a good, good, good round for you, good round for you."
