Tonight on American Idol 2011 Top 5, most of the performances were great. Haley Reinhart's 1st performance wasn't as great. But Haley Reinhart took over American Idol's stage with her 2nd performance.

Haley Reinhart's 1st Performance

Haley Reinhart's 1st performance on American Idol 2011 Top 5 was "You and I" by Lady GaGa. I didn't think this song was suited for Haley Reinhart due to the fact that it hasn't even been released yet, so not many people can connect with it. Well, this is what the judges on American Idol 2011 said.

Jennifer Lopez said she loved the way Haley sounded, but she wasn't sure that it was a good idea to sing a song from Lady GaGa that hasn't been released yet. Jennifer also said Haley Reinhart needed to showcase songs that people are going to connect with.

Then, Randy Jackson said he didn't think it was that great of a song. Randy said that it was risky performing a song that no one's familiar with yet, but he knew Haley Reinhart was a great singer. Steven Tyler said Haley picked a risky song, and that she needed to find that perfect song. Even though Haley didn't pick the best song, I still liked her performance.

Haley Reinhart's 2nd Performance

Tonight on American Idol 2011 Top 5, Haley Reinhart's 2nd performance was the best of the night. Haley received a standing ovation from all three judges. Randy Jackson said, "The award tonight for the best performance of the night goes to Haley! You're so good now. That was amazing."

Steven Tyler said, "I think you sold everybody tonight." And Jennifer Lopez said, "That song has never been sung like that before, great job." Haley Reinhart totally redeemed herself with this performance on American Idol 2011 Top 5. Bravo!
