Are you an American Idol fan? If so, get ready for some more major changes to the American Idol judges' panel! With the departure of Paula Abdul and now Simon Cowell, American Idol fans were just getting used to the idea of Randy Jackson being the only original American Idol judge to remain on the hit Fox musical reality competition show.

Big Changes to American Idol Judges Panel: So Long Ellen, Hello J-Lo?

Now, besides replacing Simon, it seems the network will be replacing new American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres and two-season veteran, Kara DioGuardi. Sources such as TMZ, The Early Show on CBS and MTV.com are reporting the news Friday morning, and they claim to know what went down, as well as who will be replacing Ellen and Kara for the next season of American Idol.

Two-time returning American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi was reportedly let go from the network, with Fox failing to pick up her year-to-year contract for a third season. One-season American Idol judge Ellen Degeneres reportedly told American Idol producers she would be leaving the show after her first season, because the show just "didn't feel like the right fit for me,". The comedienne Twittered she would be leaving the show, and also made the announcement on her web site this week.

So, who will replace Ellen Degeneres and Kara DioGuardi on American Idol next season? Sources such as TMZ and The Early Show are reporting singer, actress, and mother-of-two Jennifer Lopez may be joining the American judges' panel, though there hasn't been official confirmation from American Idol or Jennifer Lopez just yet. Also reported but yet unconfirmed, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith may be coming on board as an American Idol judge next season.

Will Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez really be the faces of the new American Idol judges' panel? Is Fox smart to return to a three-judge panel for the popular singing competition reality show? Sound off in the comments below, and vote for your favorite new Idol judge!

Big news! Thanks for the report. Somehow I can't see Jennifer Lopez in the judge's seat, but we'll see.
