American Idol Boots Another Off the Show

Say Goodbye to Brandon Rogers

American Idol says goodbye to Brandon Rogers (28) on Wednesday night. He says he was not surprised because on Tuesday's episode he had forgotten his words and was overwhelmed with excitement. He was a very good singer, but a lot of people had mixed opinions on him. I personally think that he just lost his touch. He didn't bring anything new to the table, he was just a great singer. In this competition you have to stand out and be different. There is a lot of mixed opinions on his departure. A lot of people think that he was not the strongest, but he was not the weakest. Perhaps he was voted off only because of forgetting the words?

The Idol contestants sang Diana Ross songs and the song that Brandon sung was " You Can't Hurry Love." People say that he under sang it and didn't put his true power into it. None of the judges were impressed either. Simon said he was "A background singer to a background singer." It is difficult for the guys in this year's competition because there is so many strong female vocals. They really need to bump it up a notch in this competition if they want to survive much longer. The girls are just so talented. The bottom three this week are all male.

Brandon is 28 years old and from North Hollywood, CA. Previously, he was a backup singer and now he is trying to make it as a front runner. He stood last night with Sanjaya, as the bottom two. Most people expected Sanjaya to have been voted off but he survived. I do not think he is strong enough to make it much more in this competition. Diana Ross was the theme of this week as they all sang songs of hers. She also performed on last nights show. It only lasted a half hour which I like because I do not like how they stretch out all of their shows and only fill them with commercials.

Brandon has been a background singer for several popular artists, such as Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake. He has recently turned his focus to be the front. His musical talent also runs in the family with his mother. He was also part of another band, but they broke up and since parted ways. He is a very good singer and has a good start on his career.

Overall, in this year's competition, you need to stay strong and stand out in the crowd. The last few seasons have had some very good talent and you just need to be different to survive another week. One bad week and you are gone.
