She Should Do What is Right for Her

American Idol Contest Crystal Bowersox wants to quit the show and go back to her family in Ohio. TMZ reported about it and how Ryan Seacrest talked her out of leaving. Ryan reportedly told Bowersox that if she wins the show she could buy her Mom a house.

Crystal Bowersox is a front runner on the show and American Idol knows this. The powers that be of the world and of American Idol do not really care if you are able to buy your Mom a house or yourself for that matter. They are worried about their bottom line, the money in their pockets.

The pressures and the attention of being on a show like American Idol have to be massive to handle. It would take a thick skin and a person would have to have the ability to stay away from their loved ones for a long period of time, especially if they are the winner.

Maybe it is truly more than Crystal Bowersox can handle. Maybe being away from her baby is not worth it for her. There are some things in life that all the fame and money in the world cannot buy.

The ratings of a Television show do not matter in the real world. If Bowersox is not happy and feels she wants to be home than maybe she is not cut out for the crazy world of fame and fortune. If she does win the show the attention will increase tenfold, which is reportedly one of the things she does not like about all of this. In the long run if she is not happy and hates the attention, if it stresses her out to the point of harming her health or sanity than it is not worth it for her.

It has been said for a long time that celebrities choose this path of life and should learn how to deal. While in a sense this is true, if you or I have a job that stresses us too much and puts our health or family in jeopardy we can choose a new job.

So if Bowersox chooses to call it quits I say more power to her. She needs to do what is right for her. Maybe she is finding out that fame and fortune is not what it is made out to be. Do what is right for you Crystal, not what is right for American Idol or the viewers. It is your life and no one else's.
