American Idol Gives Back 2010

The votes were tallied based on this week's performances and American once again had their say in who they felt was the most talented contestants on American Idol 2010. Though this episode was their annual Idol Gives Back special the main thing everyone wanted to know going into the results was will Tim Urban finally go home.

For most of the show, it looked like Teflon Tim was going to skate once again. Within just a few moments Casey James and Aaron Kelley were on the stools of doom as part of the bottom 3. It would take another hour or so of wonderful performances and sad stories before we would see who would round out the bottom three, but finally..... Drum Roll Please.... Tim was sent to the stool!

Another hour later and after my DVR had kicked off without recording the results I might add, the final decision was about to be made. (Thank goodness, I had the foresight to switch to live mode after rewinding and fast-forwarding ten times!) Ryan Seacrest called for the lights to dim and in a moment, we would see whom America had voted off American Idol this week.

Finally, finally and finally Tim Urban was sent back home! It has been coming for many weeks, despite the appearance that nothing would shake the fans enthusiasm for this adorable young man. Not to sound mean but a couple of very talented people went home before this guy that could have stayed a bit longer, but I digress.

There are many out there who love Tim Urban, and he is a cute guy with some talent. He would never have made it through if he did not have at least some talent. Nevertheless, for season 9 of American Idol the competition is just too tough. Simon Cowell has been quoted as saying this is the most talented group of people, the show has ever had and the competition is fierce.

As the show rockets on toward the finish line it is going to be harder and harder to watch these talented individuals go home. Big Mike is wonderful, Casey is great, Lee is fantastic, Aaron is young, Siobhan is unique and Mamma Sox (Crystal is phenomenal!) Keep watching American Idol to see who will face the chopping block next week, unfortunately there can be only one!
