The Results Are In!

Misti Sandefur
Finally, a results show I got to see. Opening the show was Stevie Wonder. Stevie performed "My Hearts on Fire," off his new album. I may not be familiar with Stevie Wonder's songs, but I must say, for a blind man he can play a keyboard beautifully. I have always admired him for that. I play keyboard, and I only wish I could play as good as he can. But first, I need to learn how to play with two hands better than I do now. I can really get my right hand going, but when it comes to playing both hands at the same time...well, that's going to take some practice.

I was so relieved to hear Seacrest say, "Kellie, you are also safe." I was worried that her performance last night may have costed her. Seems all us Kellie Pickler fans gave her another chance. I'm glad I got my vote in at the last minute. In my time zone (Central) the phone lines closed at 10:00 p.m., and at 9:45 p.m. I finally got through to vote. Just minutes before I got through, the lines for Kellie were still busy. Because of this, I know she had votes coming in all the way to the end.

Melissa ended up being the one with the least amount of votes, but it wasn't too much of a surprise to me. Melissa did mess her lyrics up last night, and this did cost her the show, but I'm sure opportunities will open up for her outside of the show.

I was disappointed when the show ended. I guess the results shows only last 30 minutes, I assumed it would last an hour. I must not have been missing much. What really disappointed me though was not being able to hear all of Melissa's farewell performance. Were all the results shows that I have been missing only 30 minutes long, or was it just tonight's? Oh well, there was nothing else on I wanted to watch anyway.
