American Idol - March 22, 2006 : Chicken Little Flew the Coop

While the contestants anxiously waited to see if they were safe, Barry Manilow started out the show with a song from the "Greatest Songs of the 50s" - "Love is a Many Splintered Thing."

Barry told Seacrest that he was suppose to be on a plane headed to Las Vegas, but he wanted to be on American Idol instead.

Time for the results…"Ace, you're safe," Seacrest told him. Good news to him since he was in the bottom three last week. However, the bottom three this week was Kevin, Lisa and Bucky. Then Lisa was told she was safe, and that left Kevin and Bucky as the bottom two. When the results were revealed, Kevin (a.k.a. Chicken Little) was the one sent home.

I think it was a surprise to some, but not much of a surprise to others. Some of you may disagree with me, but I would have rather seen Bucky go instead of Kevin. I'm just not a fan of Bucky's style. However, no matter what I think, Bucky did make the bottom two, and this just means he's going to have to really "step it up" next week.

Tune into FOX Tuesday night (March 28, 2006) to find out who will out perform the rest.
