American Idol 2010 Season 9. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. The judges are Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi, and Simon Cowell. The host is Ryan Seacrest. This week's mentor is Jamie Foxx. The songs are songs from the cinema or a night at the movies. Jamie had two sets of tee-shirts- ones that said 'contestant' and others that said 'artist'. He said he would give them to the Top 4, depending upon if the singer upped the performance ante.

Jamie gave American Idol's Lee DeWyze an artist shirt. Lee sang Seal's 'Kiss From a Rose', from Batman Forever. Randy said Lee hadn't done anything with it. Ellen loved it. Kara said he had some out-of-tune issues but was still great. Simon said that Lee's performance was verging on karaoke. Simon said Lee should be wearing the 'contestant' tee-shirt. Lee said he felt good about his performance. He did okay but only because you can't mess up a fantastic song too much. Can you?

Jamie gave American Idol's Michael 'Big Mike' Lynche a contestant shirt because he didn't know the song yet. Michael sang Michael Jackson's 'Will You Be There' from the film Free Willy. Randy said it was just all right and that Michael should have chosen an R&B song. Ellen wasn't thrilled either. She said he was consistently good but always predictable. Kara said she didn't have the goosebumps she sometimes has when he sings, such as when he sang 'Woman's Work'. Simon called the song fantastic. I assume he liked the performance.

Lee and Crystal sang a duet, 'Falling Slowly' from the film Once. It was a racket- but Randy, Ellen, and Kara loved it. Simon called the song fantastic. I assume he liked the performance. Crystal said, "Lee's my musical crush."

Jamie gave Casey an artist shirt. American Idol's Casey James sang 'Mrs. Robinson' from The Graduate. There was a big joke about Kara being Mrs. Robinson. Simon didn't think the song or performance had the substance necessary for tonight.

Jamie gave Crystal a contestant shirt. American Idol's Crystal 'Mommasox' Bowersox sang Kenny Loggins' 'I'm Alright' from Caddyshack. Randy said it wasn't her best but he liked it. Ellen thought Crystal had improved the song. Kara agreed. Simon said that Crystal is back in the game.

For their duet, Casey and Michael sang Eric Clapton's 'Have You Ever Loved a Woman' from Don Juan DeMarco. Both singers played the guitar. They sang tenderly. The duet was beautiful. Randy said, "You guys sounded really good." Ellen said, "As a matter of fact, I really have loved a woman." Kara loved this duet, as she had loved Lee and Crystal's. Simon said 'the duets were a million times better than the solos'.

Tomorrow night, Jon Bon Jovi will perform. And the elimination results will be in. The singer most in trouble is Casey- I'd like to say Lee but he has taken on the Jedi knight qualities that Tim Urban seems to have left behind. The force is strong with this one, too. Here are the Top 4 singers listed with their ages, hometowns, and the Frank Sinatra songs that put them in the finals:

Casey James, 27, Fort Worth, Texas. - 'Blue Skies'
Crystal Bowersox, 24, Elliston, Ohio. - 'Summer Wind'
Lee DeWyze, 23, Chicago, Ill. - 'That's Life'
Michael Lynche, 26, St. Petersburg, Fla. - 'The Way You Look Tonight'
