American Idol Returns for Season 10

Everything Has Been Changed!

Renee Bagley
American Idol auditions will resume in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 22. The shows 10th season will premiere on January 2011 on FOX.

New changes for this season include a new panel of judges and for the first time the eligibility age range has been changed. Now contestants who are 15 to 28 may try out for the show. Previously, 15-year-old contestants were excluded from the competition. Seems a little too young, if you ask me. I don't think your typical 15-year-old can handle the fame and pressure of Hollywood. But still it is an added opportunity for contestants who are serious about showing the world their singing abilities. And if they have the voice, go for it!

You can view photos from the first six audition cities of Season 10.

Now that everyone, but Randy Jackson has stepped down from the judge's panel, anything could happen. Do you think Jackson will remain on the panel? Or will he wait around for three more weeks, only to be fired? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
