American Idol Scandal: Antonella Barbra

American Idol is one of the most well known television shows in America. Every time it comes on Millions watch and vote for their favorite performers. Every season of American Idol there are different types of singers there are some singers that can sing everything there are others that can only sing country but one thing remains true in the end it all comes down to Two people that the people vote for the top two. From their only one will make it and only one will be the next American Idol.

American Idol has produced Ms. Kelly Clarkson from season one along with numerous other American idols such as Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Hicks. One thing about American Idol is the two scandals including the most reason one dealing with Antonella Barbra. In American Idol season two American Idol contestant Frenchie Davis age 28 born on November 18,1979 in Washington DC got kicked off of the show for posing for a topless photo that ended up on a Adult website. The reason she got kicked off they claim is because she knowingly posed topless for an Adult website prior to her becoming an American Idol contestant.

Now let's fast forward to now American Idol season six. Here we will meet numerous American Idol contestants both male and female. One of the female contestants will stand out because of a scandal. This female contestant on American Idol season six is Antonella Barbra.

Antonella Barbra is a beautiful Point Pleasant New Jersey Native. After completing high school Antonella Barbra went on to a Catholic University in Washington DC to become an architect. While attending the Catholic University in Washington DC Antonella found that she became highly interested in music and the performing arts. After getting her degree in architect Antonella decided that she would try out for American Idol season six.

In the beginning of American Idol season six Antonella Barbra and her best friend auditioned together. From there Antonella continued on to the top twenty-four then to the top twelve. While traveling up the ladder in American Idol season six a big scandal about Antonella came out. This scandal is the scandal of her pictures. Theses pictures of Antonella started getting posted on the internet by people such as her boyfriend and best friends. The pictures of Antonella are very provocative. Some of the pictures are normal pictures where she is showing a little bit of skin others are very provocative where she is doing stuff with a guy.

When the producers of American Idol found out about Antonella possible pictures they said that they would not kick her off of American Idol six based upon the fact that unlike Idol contestant Frenchie Davis who was kicked off because of her topless photos Antonella Barbra would not be kicked off because the photos were meant for personal use. Antonella did not intend for her pictures to get leaked on to the internet.

The fans of American Idol have mixed feelings about the decision of the producers of American Idol. Some fans feel as though the pictures that surfaced of Antonella are helping her in the competition because she is young and pretty and people just can't get enough of the American Idol scandal and the pictures of Antonella that are involved in the scandal.

But should Antonella be able to continue on in American Idol? I like Antonella and I know that everybody makes mistakes but I don't think that she should be the next American Idol based upon little kids look up to the American Idols. What happens if she wins American Idol and a young child decides they want to print out pictures offline of their favorite American Idol only to click on the provocative pictures? Or what If little girls find those pictures online and decide they want to be like her and they take pictures like that and post them online. Is this the type of American Idol that America wants? The provocative photos could easily slip into the hands of a child. This is one American Idol that I do not want to see to win based upon her pictures that are so easy to get a hold of. Not only that even though she didn't knowingly pose for a website and the pictures were for her boyfriend or whom ever she still knowingly posed for the photographs.
