'American Idol' Season 10: On the Road to Hollywood

Renee Bagley
The road to Hollywood is sometimes long as brutal. So far fans have seen contestants audition in New Jersey, Milwaukee, Nashville, and New Orleans. Check out the auditions photos to see more about the contestants. More stops along the way are yet to come, but will include Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Check out the behind the scenes photos and videos.

Judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez seem to be finding their niche. They have already discovered some incredible talent, and many people with touching stories. Some moments have been weird and as always, some not so talented singers have auditioned as well. But there have been many memorable performances from people like Naimia Adedapo, Paris Tassin, and Chris Medina. To name just a few.

Chris Medina's back story was highlighted by the show producers. We learned that his fiance Juliana had a bad car accident two years prior, one that left her with a traumatic brain injury. The story easily resonates with viewers at home, who almost instantly feel closer to Medina after knowing this. Then he sang a song by The Script called "Breakeven" and it was more than obvious the struggles the man has faced. Medina couldn't have picked a better song from which to showcase his voice and his soul. It was a touching performance and many fans will be rooting for this man, for both his story and his talent. Looking forward to seeing how far he can make it along the way.

Some unusual contestants made the show good for giggles and odd moments, like Allen Lewis, Christine McCaffrey (who lied telling her mom that Steven Tyler said yes to her, he didn't), Nathaniel Jones (Civil War buff, what was he thinking), and Yoji Asano. But the fun didn't end there as many more not so great singers continued to audition.

"American Idol" returns every Wednesday and Thursday on FOX.
