American Idol Season 9 Last Night Has Mixed Reviews

Last Night performances of the American Idol Top ten season 9 is mixed with amazing performance, fair and not so good performance. Their mentor for last night's Ameican Idol was Usher the R & B singer, and their theme to be performed is soul and R &B. The night start with Siobhan Magnus, one of my favorite contestant, consistent in every performance, but think she failed to impressed me, with her singing of the "Through the Fire" by Chaka Khan. I must admit the judges were correct. It wasn't a good performance.

With regards to the American Idol set-up, I love the backstage preview of the contestants after they performed, you can see the reactions/feelings after they performed.

Among the judges last night I think Ellen DeGeneres and Kara are the one with the most negative comments among the four, followed by Simon then Randy Jackson.

Some were great last night and receive good reviews, some were not, In the case of Didi Benami, I strongly disagree with the judge's view on the way she sung the "What becomes with the Broken Hearted" by Jimmy Ruffin. I think it was very smooth, very lovely. I like the way she performed it, and I'm planning to download it in iTunes later. I really don't know why the judges don't like the singing, saying that it is flat, and too much dramatic.

I was also impressed on the way Tim Urban handled the criticism from the judges. Even though that there is no wow factor on the way he performed the song "Sweet Love." I am being drag to it, the way he smile and enjoy the moment, accepts the criticism, keeping cool in the middle of the heat. He attracts a positive vibe to the audience. Cool Guy.

The Wow factor and the performance that I think I will remember is the performance of Lee Dewyze He sung "Treat her like lady." I love the guitar, feels like he is the original, great voice, and perfect execution of the song.
