Season eight of American Idol has been incredible, with numerous very talented and versatile singers. Week after week, fans have been treated to fantastic performance after fantastic performance.

In seasons past of American Idol, there has usually been two or three performers who were in contention for the title, with each having good and bad weeks to sway the listening audience one way or the other. However, this year there is such a stand-out that there can be no debate: Adam Lambert.

Adam Lambert Rocks

Adam Lambert has wowed the audience every single week that he has taken the American Idol stage. No matter the theme, no matter the song, he has proven since the beginning that he was a consummate professional and performer. He is unique and versatile, able to take on any challenge with aplomb. Although he was in the bottom three last week, this is not the first time a front-runner has landed there. It is most likely a result of people thinking he did not need their vote, so they went with their second choice.

This week was no different. When it was announced that the theme would be Rock, I knew it would be a performance to remember, and I was not disappointed. Adam Lambert opened the show with "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zepplin.

As judge Paula Abdul said after his performance, it's hard to imagine anyone improving on Led Zepplin, but damn if Adam Lambert didn't do it. He has an incredible range to his vocals-not only from his lower to upper register, but in his ability to sing any type of music. In his performance tonight, he showcased just how much of a master of his vocals he is. Simply put: he rocked. He rocked hard. His was the only performance of the evening that all the judges loved. It was the only one that was a true rock star performance-although I will give props to Allison Iraheta, who I thought did a great job, even though the judges weren't wild about it.

Vote for Adam Lambert

Now is a critical time for Adam Lambert fans to mobilize. We need to vote, using all of our phone lines to keep him in the game. Although he is virtually guaranteed to pick up a recording contract whether he wins or not, he deserves to win. He is an American Idol.

I had serious misgivings when they announced the song choice, but he managed to pull it off. He is an amazing vocalist.

Adam Lambert rocked American Idol! Alsion was good but Daney Gokey and Kris Allen were painful to hear.
