American Idol Season Nine Sees Seven of Twenty-Four Finalists Chosen

Tuesday night completed the last round in Hollywood week for the season nine Idol hopefuls. These Idol hopefuls waited patiently through the deliberation period the same as the great talents that have came from American Idol such as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

The waiting is some of the most fun of Idol because of the anticipation to see if the person you are rooting for will make it on. I waited and waited to hear if my favorite located in Room 2 was going to make it, but I was very disappointed when Hope Johnson was cut. My favorite moment in Idol history was when the Texan beauty Hope said, "There are worse things in life than going without."

As we listened to Aaron Kelley sing in a beautiful melodious performance, he forgot his lyrics, which was a minor setback. His voice far outdid his minor mishap. My main disappointment in this episode was Katelyn Epperly making it into the final 24. I believe that her final performance was very poor and that Shelby Dressel had a far better performance and did not make it. Kara was not the only one who was won over with Casey James' performances as I was shivering as I listened to him sing. It is inspiring when you hear stories of miracles happening to people that help them to achieve their dreams. Kara's wonderful display of affection towards Casey was really a special moment in the show. It really was funny but at the same time it was really meaningful for someone to win over the judge like that. As we watched before our eyes some fan favorites such a Casey James, Aaron Kelley and Didi Benami made it through we can all see that these are more great talents waiting to be discovered in the very competitive music industry!
