The link to register for the American Idol Songwriter's contest is: http://songwriter.americanidol.com/Registration.aspx

That sight will also explain the rules for registering. You can register without paying or uploading your song. They will email you with a message to confirm. Then you can upload your required MP3 file and make the $10 payment for the registration fee.

If you don't know how to record an MP3 file, here is a link to the instructions from the American Idol website. https://songwriter.americanidol.com/songWritersGuide/CreatingYourSongFile.aspx

You can enter with co-writers if you cannot write, sing, and record. Anyone who submits and agrees to the terms must be 18 years of age or older.

If the song wins the competition, it will be recorded by the winner of American Idol 6, performed at the finale of American Idol 6 and released as a commercial recording for sale to the public in compact disc and electronic formats. You (and any of your Co-Writers) will receive royalties pursuant to the publishing agreement for all commercial exploitation of the song (other than for use of the song for the purposes of the competition).

GOOD LUCK!

I did not like the song they came up with. Blake was my favorite and I thought the song was more geared toward Jordin. But hey, they are all stars already!
