The top two performers tonight, in my opinion are; Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert. Danny sang "Pretty Young Thing" and took over the stage. I knew he had a good voice, but I had no idea he would be such a comfortable and exciting performer. I loved watching him, and yes I DID LIKE HIS DANCING.
Adam Lambert is my next favorite of the night. He sang "Black and White" and hit a home run. He looked amazing, sounded amazing and I was mesmerized by him. I was literally transfixed to the television. He reminds me of Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day with his jet black hair and good looks.
On a scale of 1 to 10, most of tonight's performances were a "7" and some even lower. I just wasn't feeling most of them. I don't normally agree with Simon, but his comments were right in line with mine. Paula, (I'm so proud of her) spoke up tonight and was a bit more aggressive than usual.
So, here's my opinion of tonight's performances. Lil rounds over sang and sounded terrible. Too much grr in her voice for my taste, not to mention the terrible choice in outfit, but, she does have a very good voice. Scott MacIntyre plays the piano better than he sings, but he did okay as well. It was a forgettable night for him. Michael Sarver fell flat. He can sing, but I thought he butchered the song. His voice just isn't good enough to pull of the riffs and runs. Jasmine Murray was alright. For sixteen she's quite good, but didn't like her song choice. Kris Allen was pretty good and made it interesting with the guitar. Allison Iraheta has a great voice, but unfortunately I couldn't understand what she was singing! Too much "H" in her words. Okay, is "Hokay." She's going to have to tone it down a bit. Anoop Desai blew it tonight big-time. He sounded terrible and I felt bad for Michael Jackson, (If he happened to be watching.) Jorge Nunez was also pretty good. I like him and I think he's going to do well going forward, but If I were his stylist, I would ask him to thin out the eyebrow's, they're distracting. Megan Corkrey disappointed me tonight. I hated her song choice, but I love her voice. (Win some, lose some.) I think we're going to see her really take off. She had the most unique voice out of all of them, and I love the tats. Matt Giraud is a talented guy and I love his voice. I thought he had a good night. He can be proud of his performance.
It may be way too early for predictions, but I just can't control myself, so here goes. I see both Danny and Adam in the finals, or Megan and one of the guys. I know, I know, Megan didn't blow us away tonight, but I know its coming, I just know it!
