American Idol Top 24 for Season Nine Revealed on Idol Wednesday (Official List)

American Idol's Top 24 for season nine was finally announced. With the big American Idol top 24 reveal, season nine can move to the live show format, and give the fans of Idol what they have been waiting months to see. There had been plenty of rumors out there about who would make it into the Top 24 this season on Idol, but on the Wednesday night episode we have finally been able to learn who the Top 24 will be. It looks like a good group of singers, and has a few that have great back-stories. There are also several singers in the Top 24 that have not received very much air-time yet, keeping them a big mystery to viewers as the show moves forward.

Now the live show episodes are about to come out (well live for the East Coast at least), and three episodes per week will begin airing for American Idol next week. The top 12 guys will perform from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by the top 12 girls on Wednesday from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and then the first elimination night will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night. It's sure to provide a lot of excitement, and American Idol is going to take on NBC and their tape delayed Olympic coverage on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It seemed to take forever to get through the audition phase and then Hollywood week this season, but now we can finally enjoy some real singing, and find out how good the season nine contestants really can sing. As we mentioned, the next episode of American Idol season nine is at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd.
