American Idol Top 3 Predictions: Syesha Mercado is Likely to Go Home This Week
Syesha Mercado Has Been Hanging by a Thread. This Thread is Likely to Snap
American Idol Top 3: David Cook
David Cook will likely have a strong showing this week. A favorite of judges and fans alike, David Cook is a powerful rocker who a strong stage presence. As Randy put it, David Cook comes out every week like a winner. His performance of Andrew Lloyd Weber's Music of the Night solidified his status as a front runner on American Idol.
Tonight, David Cook will perform "The World I know" (the contestant's choice), "The first time ever I saw your face" (chosen by Simon Cowell), and a TBA producer's choice. He will have an additional leg up with his song chosen by Simon. Simon Cowell knows how to pick a winner. On American Idol's Top 3 Week on Season 4, Simon picked Carrie Underwood's song, and she ended up winning.
American Idol Top 3: David Archuleta
David Archuleta solidified his front-runner status with his performances of "Imagine" and "Angels." David Archuleta has an angelic voice and a rabid fan base, but his strength is in singing ballads. Tonight he will need to show another side. On American Idol's Top 3 Night, David Archuleta will perform "With You" (the contestant's choice), "And so it goes" (chosen by Paula Abdul), and "Longer" (the producer's choice).
American Idol Top 3: Syesha Mercado
Syesha Mercado has survived near elimination many times, and has taken many trips to the bottom 3. Syesha Mercado has a polarizing diva style that people either love or hate. Although she was predicted to leave for many weeks, Syesha Mercado has become the dark horse on American Idol. In this respect, Syesha Mercado is reminiscent of Vonzell Solomon and Kimberley Locke, counted out early in the competition but made it to the Top 3.
Tonight on American Idol's Top 3, Syesha Mercado will perform "Fever" (contestant's choice), "If I Ain't Got You" (chosen by Randy Jackson), and "Hit Me Up" (producer's choice).
With David Cook and David Archuleta as the clear front-runners through this season of American Idol, Syesha Mercado may be singing her swan song this week.
