American Idol Top Ten Ladies Night Shows Some Real Talent

American Idol Ladies Bring on the Talen for Top Ten Night

Mary Zeiher
The American Idol Top Ten Ladies took to the Idol stage last night with a lot more grace and talent than the guys of the previous night. The American Idol Top Ten Ladies changed it up a bit, were much more comfortable than the guys and they overall picked better songs. It was way more fun to sit as an American Idol viewer and at least try to enjoy the top ten ladies singing without wanting to turn the channel.

Crystal Bowersox was back on American Idol for the evening after her illness and she did shine when she sang "Long As I Can See the Light", sans harmonica, and it was much better than last week's Alanis Morissette number that she tried. The American Idol judges, Simon and Kara, loved that Crystal Bowersox overcame her illness and performed so well. I'm sure I will be in the minority when I say that she was good and talented, but not a performance that will be totally remembered.

I thought that the real winner of the American Idol Top Ten Ladies night was Siobhan Magnus who took on the Aretha Franklin Song "Think". She was both amazing and adorable on the stage and hit a note that was to be remembered by all on American Idol Top Ten Ladies Night. Siobhan has loads of talent and I think she is our real contender from the ladies - sorry Crystal Bowersox. Even though Simon still came back at the end of her performance and talked about Crystal Bowersox being the best.

What other American Idol Top Ten Ladies did ok last night with their performance? I thought that both Katelyn Epperly and Paige Miles were very good. Katelyn had good stage presence as she sat behind a white baby grand piano and did her version of Coldplay's "The Scientist". The American Idol judges felt it was a little slow but I thought it showcased her voice. Paige woke us all up with her fun and fantastic rendition of "Walk Away". Paige looked like she was having a great time on the stage and she should be perfectly safe this week.

Another great performance on American Idol Top Ten Ladies Night was Lilly Scott who selected "A Change Is Gonna' Come" and she really rocked this soulful classic with her unique voice and she looked great and comfortable on the Idol stage doing it. Both Randy and Ellen felt it was the best performance of the night. I disagree, while it was quite good, Siobhan's was the best performance of the best of the American Idol Top Ten Ladies night.

Unfortunately some of the American Idol Ladies did not perform so well. Lacey Brown, Katie Stevens DiDi Benami and Michelle Delamor are all possible candidates to go home from American Idol after the performances they gave. My vote to go home would be Lacey and DiDi, but we will see what America thinks on American Idol tonight.
