American Idol Upheaval Surprise

The surprise is not really all that surprising. Michael was voted in not because of talent but likability and Tatiana was ousted for having the opposite effect on people.

If she was not this giddy, hyperventilating, cackling persona she appeared to be during audition and Hollywood Week, my question is why did she choose to behave that way?

It was hysterics before and haughtiness during this last performance that sunk her sailing ship. Goodbye and good luck Tatiana.

Next week is sure to be interesting with some very major players singing and even one who is a cross between a clown and singer but we love him, Mr. Norman/Nick Gentle. He is definitely a case of a split personality that is actually working for him. I really am looking forward to hearing Jasmine sing again. There are some contenders in this group who I think are easy choices and stand out from the crowd.

My picks for next week just on past performances are Jasmine Murray, Allison Iraheta, and Adam Lambert. Now if they make poor song choices, they will go the way of those who said goodbye this week. The girls are really young so I hope they are able to find their style early on.

Personally speaking Adam looks like an Idol star, if his voice and song choice are good ones, he will be one to beat.
I am looking forward to hearing more from these talented people.

I think it is time to start judging the judges. As Idol judges go I thought I would do my own little nit picking and selecting of the best Idol judge of the week.

Randy is always I think, a good judge of talent and over all ability. But was it just me or did he tell two different singers that their performance was the "beginning of the season".

I suppose it was a case of that's good but no wait a minute that one was better.

Cara the copycat, whatever Randy says she agrees with, find your own words girlie.

Paula, you sound a bit like you are lethargic and have maybe been drinking or pain meds again, maybe?

Simon the sulkier sits like a snake all coiled up and hissing, ready to strike, and then when the time is right, he does and most often it is a venomous bite.

The winner is Randy; at least he is coherent, usually original, and kind in his appraisals, even when they are negative.
