Adam Lambert took another risk on the March 25 show with his unplugged version of Smokey Robinson's Tracks of My Tears and this week his risk paid off with the best performance of the night. Adam shocked fans by shedding his Pete Wentz look and took the stage in beautiful gray suit with his hair combed back and without his make-up and black nail polish. He delivered a tender and sweet version of Tracks of my Tears accompanied by an acoustic guitar player. His falsetto sounded absolutely amazing and his ending note was brilliant and perfect.
Kari gave him a standing ovation and said it was one of the best performances of the night. Paula told him that he is in his own league. Randy said he could do anything. He loved the tender moments and his performance was unbelievably hot. Simon said, "I disagree with Kara. This wasn't one of the best performances of the night. It was THE best performance of the night. It was an original performance, a great song choice and you are emerging as a star."
Adam Lambert showed his versatility as a performer tonight. His fans have come to know him as a trendy, Pete Wentz looking guy with an Indie and Hard Rock sound. During tonight's performance, Adam showed his fans his tender and sweet side along with his clean cut good looks. With this much versatility, we can count on seeing Adam in the finals.
