American Idol : What's Up With Ace's Beanie?

What's Up with Ace's Beanie?

My favorite out of the guys, Taylor Hicks, started off tonight's show, and he done a GREAT job! Other than his singing ability, I think Taylor was brilliant with his stage performance too - he got into the song - he felt it. Elliott was the next to perform, and not only did he perform Stevie Wonder's song magnificently, but he also received a standing ovation from Randy.

Before Ace performed he answered the question everyone wanted to know. He said the beanie he always has in his back pocket was his comfort. And now, my opinion on his performance tonight, I believe he done better tonight than he did last week.

Up next was Gedeon, and I must say, I truly enjoyed Gedeon's singing talent tonight - great job. However, I want to talk more about his smile. Everyone seems to pick on him about his smile, which there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I want to add that I applaud the young man myself. He has such a big smile, so big you can tell he's a happy person. I only wish I could smile like that all the time; keep smiling, Gedeon. Like the saying goes, "Smile, God loves you."

I've noticed that Simon has never had a good comment for Kevin. As a matter of fact, he constantly says to Kevin, "I do like you." Here's my thought: just say it Simon, you don't like him! I'm sorry, but I get the feeling Simon doesn't really like Kevin, and I think that's why he never says anything positive about Kevin's performances. I guess we'll just have to see, and if I'm wrong, then Simon, my apologies to you, and also, to any of Simon's fans, my apologies to you as well.

Sway wasn't horrible, but he seemed to be off tune quite a few times when he sang tonight. And I guess we'll soon see what the rest of you and America thought tomorrow night.

I had to disagree with Paula, Randy and Simon on Will's performance tonight. Why? Because, I think he did a pretty good job with the song. However, I did agree when they said he needed to find a song choice that he could loosen up to.

The show ended tonight with an outstanding performance by Chris. Tomorrow night, find out who stays and who goes. Like last week, I won't be writing on the elimination show since it airs at the same time that Survivor does. I will however write on Survivor.
