American Idol's David Cook

Of the remaining idle stars I have picked a favorite, David Archuleta, but I have been increasingly impressed by the performace of David Cook, my husband's favorite.

In every one of the competition's so far, David Cook is the one that has changed the songs up to make them truly his own, and has amazed me in how they turned out and sounded the way they were sung.

Last night's show, Tuesday April 22nd, 2008, I thought I would finally put a stop to his ability to amaze me, I couldn't see a "Rocker" being able to sing the songs of Broadway, especially songs from the infamous Phantom of the Opera, but yet again, I was wrong. Last night's performance wasn't one of the best of his career in no way but he was still absolutely amazing in the way he chose and sang a song that was written for a Diva to sing!

David Archuleta is still the Idle to beat in my opinion but David Cook has a real chance if people take a look at the talent in him instead of focusing on the fact that he is a "rocker", I think David Cook has the potential of reaching star status fast, even if he doesn't win Idle.

My husband has made the comments over and over again that although he abolutely loves David Cook, he doesn't feel that he will win because of the range of Ages that watch and Vote on Idle, there aren't too many older people out there that understand his "talent" or like his "rocker" look, but the more I watch him on this show and try to concentrate on the actual talent of each and every one of them, I believe that David Cook has so much to offer it would be a wrong move to count him out down to the bottom two of the competition which I believe might be him and David Archuleta.

All of the American Idle contestants this year have truly amazed me with their talents and abilities, I absolutely love Brooke but I just don't think she has what the two David's have..........this years Competition truly belong to the Males.

My opinion probably doesn't count for much, but if you want it, I believe that David Cook deserves a fare look in this competition and a standing ovation for his work so far. The best of luck to all of the American Idles and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
