American Idol's Result Show-Elimination to Seven Contestants
April 14 2011 Season Ten American Idol Voting Results
Of course the latest Ford Focus commercial aired with the eight American Idol contestants playing at a picnic until zombies enter the picture. Ford Focus being one of the prime sponsors for American Idol.
Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart performed a jazzy blues duet, "Moaning." There were plenty of, "jazzy scats," flying around with their voices blending well. The American Idol judges, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson loved their version. Randy Jackson questioned where was that sound last night, referring to Haley.
Scotty, Lauren, Casey and Haley were up first for their results. Scotty, Lauren and Casey were declared safe and sent back to the couch. Haley Reinhart is the first American Idol contestant tonight to be deemed one of the bottom three contestants.
Rob Reiner, an amazing actor and film director appeared, offering his semi-comedic advice towards music and film in a film clip. Kelly Clarkson, the first American Idol, took the stage and performed a duet with Jason Aldeana. They sang their latest hit, "Don't You Want To Stay?"
Stefano Langone, James Durbin, Paul McDonald and Jacob Lusk performed, Simon & Garfunkel's, "Sounds of Silence," and, "Here's To You Mrs. Robertson." Two guitars and their blending voice harmonies.
Stefano, James, Paul and Jacob were next to hear their vote results. James and Jacob were sent back to the safe bench, while Stefano Langone again was voted in the bottom three along with Paul McDonald.
Rihanna graced the stage with her flaming red hair to perform before the results were announced. Rihanna's going on tour soon and she reports her stage is being designed to allow some of the audience members to be included.
Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone and Paul McDonald stood anxiously on stage waiting for their results. Haley and Stefano were informed by Ryan Seacrest they were indeed safe and Paul McDonald was voted out by the American Idol voting base. I did believe it was going to be Haley or Paul to be sent home tonight. Paul McDonald, the quirky raspy singer sang, Rod Stewart's, "Maggie May," for his swan song. American Idol's now down to seven contestants for next week's performance night. Do you think America got the vote right tonight?

Post a CommentExcellent coverage.
I apologize, I incorrectly spelled the name of, "Mrs. Robinson," song. Thank you, Munchmouth, for bringing it to my attention.
It's tough to see any of them go home now :) Cheers, should be a good Idol tour this summer :)
well written - thank you
The song is Mrs. Robinson, not Mrs. Robertson!
What would Lincoln watch? I don't think American Idol. He'd be watching the Military Channel to find out if the Confederate Army tried to rise again.
It was fun to watch, but I was sorry to see Paul go. Good update!
