American Montessori Academy Preschool has a wonderful friendly staff. I made a visit to the preschool first thing in the morning. The two teachers who were present greeted each and every child who walked into class. I thought it was a great way for them to connect with everyone from the start of the school day. Their smiles and upbeat attitudes seem to last the next few hours of my visit. The teachers seem to set a positive mood, which kept the children happy.
American Montessori Academy Preschool has curriculum for children that is fun and educational. I talked to one of the teachers and she was telling me they have a different topic that they cover weekly. She told me their topic is based on the interests of the children. For example, if the children show interest in cars then they do weeks worth of activities centered on cars. The children seem to enjoy the activities that the teachers have created for them. During my visit I saw the children doing different things such as, reading, art, puzzles and cooking with the teacher. I saw every experience that the children had was a learning experience.
American Montessori Academy Preschool is an attractive classroom. There are colorful pictures of children's artwork throughout the class. The teachers also have pictures of children's family members on a bulletin board called, "Our Family." There is a special board for parents. On the board is posted the parent newsletter for the month and the weekly curriculum.
American Montessori Academy Preschool has clean toys. Many classrooms I have visited have dirty toys. At American Montessori Academy Preschool they keep their toys, floors, tables and chairs clean. They get the children and parents to help out at least once a month. One of the teachers also told me they encourage the children to wash their hands after different activities to help avoid the spread of germs and dirt on the toys. I thought this was a great method of practice for the children.
American Montessori Academy Preschool cost varies depending on how many days you want to take your child. For three days a week it's about $500 dollars and for two days a week it cost $300 dollars. Not too bad for the quality of the school.
American Montessori Academy Preschool is an excellent school with wonderful staff and exciting curriculum. American Montessori Academy Preschool is a school I would recommend to anyone who wants to start their child in preschool.
